How it works

Pick a channel and members take turns posting the next number. Confine reacts to confirm each valid count and tracks how far your server has gotten. One mistake resets everything back to zero.
Every command here requires Manage Server.

Setting it up

Channel names work as well as mentions. The count starts at 1. Confine needs View Channel, Send Messages, and Add Reactions in that channel.

Playing

Post the next number and confine reacts: Confine also posts a message explaining what went wrong and how far you’d gotten.

What resets the count

Skipping ahead or repeating a number both end the run. Confine tells you what you sent and what it was expecting.
Chatting in the counting channel resets it. Keep conversation somewhere else.
Unless you’ve allowed it, someone else has to take the next number.
If two people send the same number at once, only the first is counted — the other resets the run.
Commands are ignored, so running ,counting config in the counting channel won’t break the run.

Same-user rule

By default one member can’t post two numbers in a row.
Set it to yes and a single member can carry the count alone.

Checking your progress

Shows the channel, the current number, what’s expected next, your server’s record, and whether the same-user rule is active.

Starting over

Puts the count back to zero. Your record stays intact.

Turning it off

Clears the channel setting entirely.
